To identify vendors for recent source, alternate source and focus on optimum cost of material

Role & responsibilities :
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of iron castings based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
Develop and maintain robust relationships with existing suppliers and explore recent supplier opportunities.
Prepare and issue purchase orders for iron castings, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor order status and communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to delivery or quality.
Analyze cost structures to ensure competitive pricing and negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
Monitor market trends and participate in sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings.




Collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to define specifications and ensure that all purchases meet quality standards.
Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Work closely with inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring timely supply of iron castings to support production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier interactions, and inventory levels.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing metrics and assist in strategic planning.

Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 5 years from an engineering industry with casting and foundry knowledge
willing to travel
