Job Description Manager ESG & Sustainability

Role Purpose
Lead the ESG and sustainability agenda for the organization by driving regulatory compliance, decarbonization, responsible manufacturing, and ESG governance across manufacturing operations, supply chain, and corporate functions. Enable the organization to achieve global sustainability commitments while supporting business growth and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the organization's ESG strategy aligned with business objectives and global sustainability commitments.
Lead ESG disclosures and regulatory reporting including BRSR, GRI, SASB, IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, CDP, EcoVadis, CSRD, ESRS, and EU Taxonomy.
Manage Scope 1, 2 & 3 GHG inventory, carbon accounting, decarbonization roadmap, Net Zero initiatives, and climate risk assessments.
Drive sustainable manufacturing initiatives focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy, water stewardship, waste reduction, circular economy, and resource optimization.
Lead Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), and sustainability assessments for EV products and manufacturing processes.




Ensure environmental compliance with applicable national and international regulations, customer requirements, and external assurance audits.
Develop supplier ESG assessment programs and integrate sustainability into procurement and supply chain operations.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Finance, HR, and R&D; teams to embed ESG across the value chain.
Drive digital transformation of ESG data, analytics, dashboards, and reporting through ERP/SAP-based systems.
Monitor emerging sustainability regulations and advise leadership on strategic implications.

Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech in Engineering; masters degree or skilled certification in Sustainability/Energy Management preferred.
6 to 15 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, Environmental Compliance, or Climate Strategy within Automotive, EV, Manufacturing, or Industrial sectors.
Robust expertise in GHG Protocol, ESG reporting frameworks, carbon management, stakeholder engagement, project management, and sustainability regulations.
Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
