Role & responsibilities

Job Summary :-

Thorough expertise in mechanical maintenance particularly in hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy machinery is required. Knowledge of tool-room activities is essential.

Team Management:
Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance personnel (technicians, supervisors, and support staff).
Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
Organize training programs to enhance the skills of the maintenance team.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
Oversee the repair and maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and production systems.
Ensure the timely resolution of any breakdowns or faults that occur during production.

Budgeting and Cost Control:
Develop and manage the department's maintenance budget.
Ensure cost-effective operations by controlling maintenance expenses while maintaining a high standard of service.
Negotiate with suppliers for spare parts, equipment, and service contracts.

Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.




Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to ensure protected working conditions.
Lead emergency response drills and safety training.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce equipment downtime, and increase efficiency.
Use predictive maintenance technologies to identify potential failures before they happen.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure machinery is optimized for operations.

Equipment Management:
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and manage ordering and storage.
Oversee the installation of current equipment and ensure smooth integration with existing systems.

Reporting and Documentation:
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Prepare reports for senior management on maintenance performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
Ensure the correct documentation for equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.

Project Management:
Lead or assist in the planning and execution of capital improvement projects related to equipment or infrastructure.
