Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database development, optimization, and administration. The ideal candidate should possess robust SQL and PL/pgSQL programming skills, expertise in performance tuning, and experience in database design and maintenance. The role requires close collaboration with development teams to build scalable and high-performing database solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and database objects.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views using PL/pgSQL.
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with application developers to design productive database solutions.




Support database migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for database processes.

Required Skills
4+ years of experience with PostgreSQL database development.
Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.
Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
Knowledge of indexing, partitioning, and database replication.
Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting is an added advantage.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of database migration tools and ETL processes.
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech (Any Engineering Discipline) or Full time Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
