Product Manager - Surgical Products

Location: Kolkata

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead and manage our Ophthalmic Surgical Portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing product strategies, understanding market needs, enabling sales, and building relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires robust domain knowledge, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to drive product success and market growth.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy Planning Develop and implement effective product strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Drive lifecycle management, positioning, and portfolio expansion planning.
Market Intelligence Research Conduct continuous market research, competitive analysis, and engage with Ophthalmologist KOLs at conferences and hospital visits to identify unmet clinical needs and business opportunities.
Sales Enablement Marketing Execution Lead the execution of marketing plans and promotional strategies. Provide the sales team with product positioning tools, training, and customer-facing content to help achieve sales targets.
Stakeholder Engagement Build and nurture solid relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, hospital administrators,



and key decision-makers in purchase and finance departments to influence buying decisions and support business growth.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Optometry, or Life Sciences.

Key Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sales-driven and target-oriented approach.
Ability to manage and support a high-performing sales team.
Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Deep understanding of ophthalmic surgical workflows and procedures.
Ability to translate complex technical information into impactful customer value propositions.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CRM tools and digital marketing platforms is a plus.

Experience
8 to 16 years of relevant experience in Ophthalmic Medical Devices.
Experience in handling surgical products, product launches, and working closely with healthcare specialists is highly desirable.
