Responsibilities

The main objective of ATC is to ensure the secure and orderly movement of aircraft both through airspace and on the ground at aerodromes. Incidents of safety events involving loss of separation and runway incursions do however take place and may be attributable to ATC lapses. It is therefore essential that such incidents be analysed and investigated to enable corrective measures to be instituted in order to ensure safe operations.

This job function would require in-depth knowledge of ATC functions and analytical abilities. Candidate would report to Dy. Chief of Flight Safety (Operations) and would be responsible for: -
Assessment of risk factors like failure to respond to alerts, unclear position takeover, poor co-ordination standards, pilot- controller communication, failure to pass on essential traffic information,



poor radio-telephony phraseology etc
To address ATC related issues with respect to communication and other airside ATC related incidents.
Provide appropriate safety bulletins to minimize the risks associated with ATC functions.
Carry out Safety trainings.
Be a part of investigations, when detailed.
Advise the Dy. CoFS (Operations) in ATC related safety issues.
Any other duty assigned by Dy. CoFS (Operations)

Minimum Qualification:
Must have held an ATCO license.
Experience of minimum 5 years in ATC functions.
Positive knowledge of MS Office.
Positive communication skills.
