Job description

A picker packer's job is to pick items from a warehouse, pack them, and prepare them for shipping or delivery. They may also be responsible for transporting the products.

Here are some of the responsibilities of a picker packer:

· Picking : Using customer orders, find the items in the warehouse and pick them up. Check that the quantity and color of the items match the order.

· Packing : Wrap and cushion the items, and put them into boxes. Ensure the boxes are labeled with the order number, quantity, and product details.

· Updating the order system : Use software to indicate that the order has been fulfilled and is ready to be shipped.

· Keeping the work area clean : Remove excess items and wrappers after packing to avoid mixing up products.

· Maintaining inventory :



Keep the inventory catalog up to date by scanning products when collecting them.

· Checking for quality : Inspect the products for damage or defects before shipping.

· Operating equipment : Use forklifts, pallet wrappers, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

· Following safety protocols : Observe safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment.

Picker packers may work in warehouses and distribution centers for various industries, such as manufacturing, retail, or agriculture. The industry determines the types of products they handle.
