Develops a global sourcing strategy for commodities, defines project scopes and identifies savings prospects. Negotiates and manages contracts and relationships with vendors. Implements policies and metrics to ensure that savings goals are realized. Works with technical buyers, engineers and management to identify current product needs, identifies new sources in order to meet business requirements. Responsible for quality control of vendor products.
