Role Description The Front Desk Receptionist role is a full-time, on-site position based at the hostel in Kolkata. The receptionist will welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, handle phone calls and inquiries, and respond to guest questions about the hostel and the local area. Daily tasks include maintaining reservation records, processing payments, updating guest information, and coordinating with housekeeping and other staff to ensure rooms and common areas are ready. The role also involves managing basic clerical duties,



such as filing, data entry, and email communication, while maintaining a calm, professional, and friendly presence at the front desk.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
Candidates should possess solid Phone Etiquette and Receptionist Duties skills to handle calls, greetings, and front desk operations professionally.
Candidates should possess reliable Clerical Skills to manage records, reservations, and basic administrative tasks accurately.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reservation or booking systems are beneficial.
Previous experience in hospitality or front desk roles is an advantage but not mandatory.
Ability to work in rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Proficiency in English, Bengali, and Hindi; additional languages are a plus.
