Role Description The F&B; Steward role is a full-time, on-site position based at The Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. The steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the food and beverage service areas, including restaurants, banquet spaces, and back-of-house sections. Daily tasks include setting up and clearing tables, replenishing supplies, supporting the serving team, and ensuring that cutlery, crockery, and glassware are cleaned and stored properly. The role also involves assisting with buffet setups,



handling basic food service duties under supervision, following hygiene and safety guidelines, and coordinating with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
Solid Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and basic Food Service procedures in hotel or restaurant settings.
Ability to participate in and benefit from Training programs focused on service standards, hygiene, and safety practices.
Basic understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations in hospitality environments.
Prior experience in an F&B; Steward or similar hospitality role is preferred.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
High school diploma or equivalent; formal hospitality training or certification is an advantage.
