Position: Financial Controller (UK Accounting)

Qualification: ACCA (Qualified)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with robust expertise in UK Accounting to join our team on a 3-month contractual basis . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing financial operations for UK-based clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and working extensively on Xero .

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end financial operations for UK clients.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Oversee general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Review VAT returns and support statutory filings.
Coordinate with external accountants and auditors.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.




Identify process improvements and implement financial controls.
Work closely with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.

Required Skills
3–5 years of experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in UK Accounting .
Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and financial reporting.
Hands-on experience with Xero Accounting Software .
Experience with VAT, management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
Solid communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified (Preferred)
