Role Description The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. This role is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, coordinating service, and ensuring a high standard of food and beverage presentation. The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in monitoring guest satisfaction, handling queries or concerns, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities include assisting with staff scheduling, training recent team members, supporting hiring decisions, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.



The role also involves close collaboration with the kitchen and hotel teams to optimize service, manage inventory, and contribute to revenue and cost-control goals.
Qualifications
Robust focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to create positive guest experiences.
Experience with Food & Beverage operations, including menu knowledge, service standards, and quality control.
Skills in Hiring and team supervision, including training and performance support for restaurant staff.
Excellent Communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and cross-functional hotel departments.
Prior experience as a supervisor or team leader in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality environments.
Knowledge of basic restaurant administration, including POS systems, billing, and inventory monitoring.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in hospitality operations.
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
