Job Description:
Project Financial Planning
Prepare project budgets before execution.
Evaluate the financial feasibility and expected profitability of current projects.
Develop cost estimates in collaboration with the Projects and Procurement teams.
Assist management in pricing decisions by analysing expected margins.
Project Profitability Management
Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
Track actual vs. estimated costs throughout project execution.
Prepare project-wise Profit & Loss statements.
Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
Measure Gross Margin and Net Margin for every project.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
Develop dashboards showing:
Project profitability
Revenue recognition
Cash flow
Outstanding receivables
Accounts payable
Working capital
Provide variance analysis between planned and actual financial performance.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Forecast project cash inflows and outflows.
Monitor customer collections and payment schedules.
Coordinate with Accounts to improve receivable collections.
Ensure sufficient working capital for ongoing projects.
Monitor project-wise fund utilisation.
Bookkeeping Oversight
Ensure accurate recording of project-related expenses.
Review bookkeeping entries for accuracy.
Coordinate with the Accounts team to maintain proper financial records.
Assist during internal and statutory audits.
Verify project invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
Business Planning
Support annual budgeting and financial planning.
Assist management in preparing business forecasts.
Analyse historical financial performance to improve future project profitability.
Recommend cost-saving opportunities across departments.
Develop financial models for business expansion and recent investments.
