Description
We are seeking an experienced ED Facility Coder to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in medical coding, specifically within the emergency department, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding of medical records.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze emergency department medical records for accurate coding.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and quality assurance.
- Stay updated with coding updates and changes in regulations.

Skills and Qualifications
- 1-6 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in the emergency department setting.
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to interpret medical records and clinical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is preferred.
