The Salesforce Engineer will be a hands-on developer supporting backlog-driven Salesforce cleanup, remediation, configuration optimization, and enhancement work. This role should be staffed with resources who have real Salesforce development experience, not pure administrator backgrounds, because the work may require understanding and modifying Apex, Flow, integrations, and platform automation.

Primary Responsibilities
Execute assigned Salesforce backlog items focused on configuration cleanup, platform optimization, health assessment remediation, and enhancement support.
Develop and modify Apex, Salesforce Flows, Lightning components, validation rules, and related metadata as needed.
Support cleanup and rationalization of custom fields, page layouts, record types, profiles, permission sets, sharing settings, and automation.
Assist with identifying unused or redundant configuration, especially where configuration limits or object complexity are impacting maintainability.
Support domain name/branding change activities by helping update relevant Salesforce configurations and assisting with technical validation.




Work with QA resources to support defect resolution, regression testing, deployment validation, and release readiness.
Document changes, technical decisions, and impacted components.
Escalate risks, dependencies, and potential business-process impacts to the Senior Salesforce Engineer and technical lead.

Required Skills
Salesforce development background.
Apex development experience.
Salesforce Flow development experience.
Salesforce configuration and metadata management experience.
Understanding of Salesforce security model, profiles, permission sets, sharing, and field-level security.
Experience supporting testing, deployment, and defect resolution.
Ability to work in a capacity-based, sprint-driven delivery model.

Lightning Web Components experience.
REST/SOAP integration experience.
Financial Services Cloud exposure.
Experience with Salesforce cleanup, rationalization, or technical debt remediation.
Familiarity with enterprise Salesforce settings and integration dependencies.
