Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Manager Design to support our Design team. The ideal candidate should have successfully managed design teams and executed multiple Ground mounted solar projects ranging from 50 MW to 100 MW (or more). This role requires robust technical expertise in solar engineering design, leadership in managing design deliverables and the ability to coordinate across stakeholders for large-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Design team for utility-scale solar projects.
Develop, review and approve system designs, layouts and drawings.
Ensure compliance with national and international standards, codes and best practices.
Provide technical leadership in feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and detailed engineering.
Coordinate with Project execution, Procurement and Other related teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
Optimize system designs for performance, cost and constructability.
Guide the team on software tools (PV Syst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, ETAP, etc.).
Monitor Project progress to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.
Mentor and train junior engineers to build a robust, capable design function.
Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
4 years of experience in solar PV design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Hands-on experience in 50100 MW Ground-mounted solar projects.
Robust understanding of solar PV technology, electrical systems and grid integration.
Proficiency in design tools such as PV Syst, AutoCAD, ETAP, Helioscope, MS Office, etc.
Excellent knowledge of IS/IEC standards, CEA guidelines, and DISCOM/grid requirements.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and deliver under strict timelines.
Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
