B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical)
Experience in a Coal-Based Thermal Power Plant

Roles & Responsibilities
Lead all mechanical maintenance activities for the assigned areas, including boiler pressure parts, rotary equipment, coal mills, and associated auxiliaries, with the objective of maximizing plant availability, reliability, and performance while minimizing outages.
Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in line with engineering best practices, HSSE standards, statutory and regulatory requirements, and Jindal Power policies.
Drive secure maintenance practices considering the critical operating conditions of supercritical boilers, including high temperature, high pressure, and elevated working heights.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans to ensure reliable and protected plant operations.
Prepare the annual maintenance strategy for the Boiler & Auxiliaries section, including maintenance schedules, KPIs, contract management plans, and budget estimates.
Monitor maintenance KPIs and take timely corrective actions to achieve business targets.




Plan and execute both planned and forced outages (long-term and short-term) covering boiler pressure parts, ducts, dampers, fans, coal mills, and associated auxiliaries within approved budgets and timelines.
Oversee material planning and service management to ensure timely availability of equipment, spares, and external resources.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, environmental, and HSSE requirements related to maintenance activities.
Build and develop a capable, motivated, and safety-conscious maintenance workforce.
Manage maintenance activities related to boiler pressure parts, fans, coal mills, and associated auxiliaries in a supercritical thermal power plant.
Ensure effective material management to support uninterrupted maintenance operations.

Functional Competencies

Material management in a supercritical boiler workplace.
Risk evaluation and mitigation for maintenance activities.
Knowledge of power plant economics.
Spare procurement, repair, and refurbishment.
Working knowledge of ERP systems.
