QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks while ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, drive automation best practices, and contribute to modernizing our testing ecosystem using AI-powered tools and up-to-date QA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks with a strong preference for Playwright using Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- Build reliable, scalable, and low-flakiness automated test suites by following automation best practices, including parallel execution, auto-waiting, and maintainable test architecture.
- Enhance and modernize existing automation frameworks, including those built with Selenium WebDriver, while contributing to continuous improvements.
- Develop and execute API-first automated tests and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid delivery.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor AI, Claude Code, Google Antigravity, and similar technologies to improve test creation, maintenance, and overall engineering productivity.
- Own the end-to-end QA activities for assigned features and modules, including test planning, test design, execution, defect reporting, regression testing, and timely delivery within sprint cycles.




- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality product releases.
- Mentor and support junior QA engineers while contributing to test planning, test coverage improvements, quality strategy, and QA best practices across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, with strong expertise in Playwright using Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of automation engineering best practices, including framework design, parallel execution, auto-waiting mechanisms, and building stable, maintainable automation suites.
- Experience working with and modernizing existing automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with API automation testing and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve automation development, maintenance, and productivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within agile, cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

- Experience with AI-driven test automation platforms such as Testim, Mabl, Applitools, Functionize, or TestRigor.
- Experience using Generative AI to accelerate test case creation, automation development, and maintenance.
- Understanding of modern web application architectures, including Single Page Applications (SPA) and microservices.
- Domain knowledge of fintech, financial products, or derivatives trading is an added advantage.
