Role & responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
1. Operate chemical manufacturing equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, dryers, filters, mills, blenders, and transfer systems as per approved SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
2. Charge raw materials into process equipment according to the approved manufacturing process and batch instructions.
3. Monitor and record critical process parameters, including temperature, pressure, vacuum, pH, agitation speed, and process time.
4. Perform material transfer operations using appropriate equipment while preventing contamination and cross-contamination.
5. Clean production equipment and manufacturing areas according to approved cleaning SOPs.
6. Ensure equipment status labels and area status labels are correctly displayed and maintained.
7. Wear and maintain the required PPE and comply with all safety procedures during manufacturing activities.
8. Follow Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and all applicable SOPs.
9. Immediately report process deviations, equipment malfunctions, spills, leakages, and safety incidents to the Shift In-charge.
10. Assist in line clearance activities before and after manufacturing operations.

Perform routine checks of utilities such as compressed air, nitrogen, steam, chilled water, and vacuum systems, and report abnormalities.
12. Handle chemicals safely in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company safety procedures.
13. Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the production area remains clean and organized.
14. Segregate waste and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to approved procedures.
15. Support preventive maintenance, equipment qualification, and validation activities when required.
16. Assist QA and QC personnel during sampling, in-process checks, and investigations.
17. Complete logbooks and production records accurately, legibly, and in real time.
18. Participate in safety drills, GMP training, and skill development programs.
19. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
20. Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Preferred candidate profile
ITI (AOCP/Fitter/Mechanical/Chemical) or Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry.
- 01 years of experience in a chemical, API, pharmaceutical, or specialty chemical manufacturing plant.
