We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Draftsman (5+ years experience) with an ITI - Draftsman background to join our engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to design precise wire harness and cable drawings, and translate complex engineering designs into clear, step-by-step assembly work instructions and technical documentation for our production floor. Role & responsibilities
Design & Drafting: Create accurate, production-ready wire harness drawings, cable schematics, and routing layouts. Technical Documentation: Author detailed assembly work instructions (SOPs), user manuals, and other technical documentation for the production floor. Drawing Review: Conduct thorough reviews of engineering drawings to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design engineers and the manufacturing / assembly team to resolve assembly, testing & fitment issues.
Education: ITI in Drafting (Draftsman Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in creating 2D Drawings, wire harness and cable design. CAD Software Expertise: Proficiency in at least one or more of the following: SolidWorks Solid Edge Siemens NX (Unigraphics) Office & Productivity Tools: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word (for creating structured manuals/instructions). Strong familiarity with Google Sheets and Google Slides for data tracking and presentations. Core Competencies: Drawing Interpretation: Exceptional capabilities in reading, reviewing, and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and electrical schematics. Attention to Detail: High precision in capturing dimensional constraints, connector types, pinouts, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
