Job DescriptionJob description NPosition: Medical Superintendent (MS) NLocation: Rukmani Birla Hospital, Jaipur (CK Birla Hospitals) NPosition SummarynThe Medical Superintendent (MS) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all clinical services within the hospital. The role ensures the delivery of safe, ethical, patient-centric, and evidence-based healthcare while maintaining compliance with statutory and accreditation requirements. The MS works closely with clinical consultants, nursing leadership, quality, operations, and support services to achieve superior clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and an exceptional patient experience. NKey Responsibilitiesn1. Clinical Governance Nn Provide overall leadership for medical services and clinical administration. N Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe, evidence-based patient care across all specialties. N Monitor clinical outcomes, mortality, morbidity, infection control, and patient safety indicators. N Lead implementation of clinical protocols, SOPs, and treatment guidelines. N Chair Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), mortality meetings, credentialing committees, and other clinical governance forums. Nn2. Medical Administration Nn Supervise and coordinate activities of consultants, resident doctors, medical officers, and clinical departments. N Oversee doctor onboarding, credentialing, privileging, and periodic performance evaluation. N Ensure adequate medicalstaffing and productive duty roster management. N Resolve clinical escalations and facilitate interdepartmental coordination. Nn3. Quality & Accreditation Nn Drive compliance with NABH, NABL, statutory, and regulatory standards. N Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives.



N Monitor quality indicators and implement corrective and preventive actions. N Support accreditation audits and quality certification programs. Nn4. Regulatory & Medico-Legal Compliance Nn Ensure compliancewith all applicable healthcare laws, biomedical waste regulations, clinical establishment norms, fire safety, and statutory requirements. N Oversee medico-legal cases and ensure timely documentation and reporting. N Liaise with government authorities and regulatory agencies as required. Nn5. Patient Safety & Experience Nn Foster a culture of patient safety and ethical medical practice. N Review patient complaints related to clinical care and ensure timely resolution. N Promote patient-centredcare and improve patient satisfaction metrics. N Lead initiatives to reduce clinical risks and adverse events. Nn6. Infection Prevention & Control Nn Lead the Infection Prevention and Control Committee. N Monitor HAIs, antimicrobial stewardship, and infection control practices. N Ensure compliance with hospital infection control protocols. Nn7. Operational Excellence Nn Collaborate with Operations, Nursing, HR, Pharmacy, Diagnostics, and Support Services to optimize clinical workflows. N Improve bed utilization, patient flow, emergency response, OT utilization, and discharge processes.

N Encourage clinical research, publications, and evidence-based practices. N Mentor junior doctors and residents. N Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Nn9. NnQualificationsn N MBBS (Mandatory)nMHA or MD/DNB/MBA in a Hospital Administration NnExperiencen N 12-15 years of post-qualification experience in multispecialty or tertiary-care hospitals. N Minimum 5 years in a senior medical administration or Medical Superintendent role. N Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals is essential. N Demonstrated experiencein clinical governance, quality management and hospital operations.
