AI Automation Engineer – L2

Position Summary

The AI Automation Engineer – Level 2 is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing end-to-end automation workflows that enhance MSP operations. This role requires advanced scripting, integration skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while leading automation deployment projects.

Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Support, Dev Ops, or Automation Engineering (MSP experience preferred).

Advanced Programming: Deep proficiency in Python, Node.js, and/or Power Shell.
AI & Data Infrastructure: Proven experience building agentic RAG systems, managing LLM orchestration, and deploying vector databases.
System Architecture: Experience designing microservices and working with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Project Management: Familiar with Git Version Control, Gantt Analysis and SCRUM

Automation Ecosystems: Complex orchestration platforms (Windmill, n8n, Rewst, custom runtimes)



and deep API integration experience with leading PSA/RMM systems (HaloPSA, Connect Wise, Datto, Kaseya, N-able).

Responsibilities

- Design and build advanced automation workflows integrating PSA, RMM, and AI platforms.
- Create and maintain scripts using Python and Power Shell to streamline recurring MSP process.
- Develop integrations using REST APIs (Connect Wise, Datto, N-able, etc.).
- Architect AI-enabled workflows leveraging LLMs, RAG, and data enrichment.
- Mentor and support L1 engineers in workflow design and execution.
- Ensure compliance, data governance, and documentation across all automation projects.
