Job DescriptionJob Title: Overseas Accounting and Project Manager NLocation: Kolkata, India NDepartment: Finance & Accounts – Shared Services NReports To: Finance Controller Overseas Processing and Trading NEmployment Type: Full-Time NRole Overview: NWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the overseas accounting operations within our Shared Services Center. The role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, process optimization, international reporting standards, and the ability to lead finance-related projects. The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities for multiple overseas entities in compliance with local and international financial regulations, while also driving strategic initiatives and special projects. NKey Responsibilities: Nn Oversee accounting operations for overseas entities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany, and fixed assets. N Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting. N Review and ensure compliance with local GAAPs and local statutory requirements of the respective overseas jurisdictions. N Coordinate with local finance teams, external auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders for audits, tax filings, and other compliance matters. N Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency across the shared services platform. N Lead and manage finance-related projects such as process transitions, ERP implementations, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.



N Take ownership of special tasks and cross-functional initiatives delegated by senior management, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals. N Provide leadership in the design and rollout of internal controls, process documentation, and SOPs for overseas accounting functions. N Develop and monitor KPIs and SLAs for accounting service delivery. N Provide leadership and mentoring to junior accounting team members within the shared services. N Manage accounting controls and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and company policies. NnQualifications & Experience: Nn Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and financial operations. N Proven track record in project management, including cross-functional initiatives and process improvement projects. N Strong understanding ofinternational accounting principles. N Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. N Experience working withcross-cultural teams and in a matrix reporting structure. NnPreferred Attributes: Nn Prior experience in a shared services or multinational workplace, preferably in the Agri-trading, commodity sector. N Exposure to commodity processing and handling large greenfield or brownfield expansion. N Hands-on experience in leading process transitions and standardization projects. N Project management certifications are a plus. N Strong leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. N Continuous improvement of mindset and ability to manage change. N Ability to work in multiple time zone alignment, if required like during audit etc N
