Job Summary:

We are seeking a technically skilled Solar & BESS Design Engineer to support our project design team. The candidate should have 6+ years of experience in preparing rooftop and ground- mounted solar PV system designs, BOQs, and electrical layouts (including BESS) using industry-standard tools and software.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create solar PV system designs including array layout, SLDs, and energy yield reports.
- Use software tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope to simulate and validate designs.
- Prepare accurate BOMs/BOQs and project documentation for execution.
- Perform site feasibility analysis using survey data, satellite imagery, and shading analysis.
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams for design validation and updates.
- Optimize system performance by proposing efficient component placement and sizing.
- Design and size BESS (capacity, C-rate,



PCS/inverter, AC/DC coupling).
- Support techno-commercial evaluation of hybrid solar-plus-storage proposals.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in solar PV design and simulation, including exposure to BESS sizing and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Excel, and basic electrical design tools.
- Understanding of PV modules, inverters, and BoS components.
- Ability to analyze site conditions and prepare layout plans accordingly.
- Working knowledge of BESS fundamentals: chemistry, C-rate, DoD, and PCS integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience designing for both on-grid and off-grid systems.
- Familiarity with DISCOM regulations and MNRE technical standards.
- Prior experience in net-metered or hybrid solar systems.
- Prior BESS design experience and familiarity with IEC 62619/62933, NFPA 855, UL 9540.
