Position Overview

The Manager - Individual Tax is responsible for managing and reviewing complex individual tax returns, including U.S. federal, state, and international compliance. The role involves oversight of foreign reporting requirements (FBAR, FATCA, Forms 5471, 5472, 2555), tax technical research, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This position includes direct client and partner interaction, team leadership (4-5 members), and training responsibilities to maintain quality and efficiency in tax processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Tax Return Review: Oversee and review complex individual tax returns (Form 1040, HNI, 1040NR) ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- International Taxation: Handle tax research, transfer pricing, and interpret various tax treaties for cross-border clients.
- Foreign Compliance: Prepare and review FBAR (Form 114), FATCA (Form 8938), and other foreign compliance forms such as Form 5471, 5472, 2555.
- State Tax Returns:



Manage preparation and review of resident and non-resident state tax returns.
- Tax Compliance & Research: Conduct technical tax research and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Client Interaction: Communicate directly with clients and tax authorities to resolve queries and provide guidance.
- Partner Coordination: Collaborate with partners for strategic tax planning and client deliverables.
- Team Management: Lead a team of 4-5 members, ensuring quality output and timely delivery. Drive team motivation and engagement through regular feedback and recognition.
- Training & Development: Train recent team members on tax processes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in tax preparation and review processes.
