Position Objective

Will be responsible for securing, managing, and optimizing the organizations corporate IT infrastructure and manufacturing plant networks (OT). This role focuses on implementing robust cybersecurity protocols, managing data resilience, driving automation, optimizing IT costs, and educating the workforce to ensure continuous, secure, and zero-downtime manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Areas

1. Cybersecurity & Phishing Defence

- Maintain the perimeter security of corporate offices and manufacturing units using Next-Gen Firewalls, EDR/XDR, and SIEM tools.
- Deploy and manage email security gateways to detect and block spam, malware, and targeted phishing campaigns.
- Conduct simulated phishing drills to evaluate and strengthen employee readiness against social engineering threats.

2. Data Management, Backup & Recovery

- Enforce data management policies ensuring data integrity, proper classification, and secure storage across ERP, HRMS, and plant-floor databases.
- Design, implement, and monitor daily automated data backup schedules for critical business and production systems.
- Regularly execute and test Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity plans to ensure rapid data recovery with minimal downtime in the event of a system failure or cyberattack.

3. Cloud Security & Collaboration Tools

- Secure and monitor the organizations cloud infrastructure (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and manage access controls.
- Administer and protect enterprise collaboration platforms (like Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, or Google Workspace) to ensure secure file-sharing and communication.

4. Data Automation & Remote Support

- Drive the automation of data workflows, security logging, and alerting systems to eliminate manual tracking errors and improve threat detection speed.




- Provide secure remote support and troubleshooting for off-site employees, branch offices, and third-party vendors/maintenance engineers requiring plant network access.

5. IT Applications, Education & Awareness

- Maintain a deep working knowledge of core IT business applications (ERP, CRM, Supply Chain systems) to identify and patch application-layer vulnerabilities.
- Act as the primary cyber-security evangelist to educate the organization, conducting regular training sessions for both corporate staff and shop-floor workers on safe digital practices.

6. Cost Calculation, Reporting & Presentation

- Prepare detailed technical security reports and dashboards for senior management regarding the company’s risk posture.
- Conduct IT cost calculations, budget forecasting for security renewals, and ROI analysis on current software/hardware investments.
- Utilize strong presentation skills to pitch security budget requirements and present risk assessments clearly to non-technical business leaders and plant heads.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: BCA / B.Sc. (IT) / B.Sc. (Computer Science).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of core IT and Information Security experience.
- Industry Exposure: Mandatory experience in the Manufacturing sector. The candidate must understand the realities of shop-floor systems (SCADA/PLCs), the Purdue model of network segmentation, and the critical balance between security and manufacturing uptime.

Required Technical & Soft Skills

- Tools: Next-Gen Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.), Backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, etc.), Cloud Security, and M365/Google Workspace administration.
- Soft Skills: Excellent presentation skills, financial acumen for cost calculation, and the ability to train/educate non-technical employees.

Preferred Certifications

- CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or GICSP
