Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

Additional Qualification

- Candidate must have Level II / III NDT - ASNT / ISNT / ISO 9712 qualification (UT, RT, MT, PT and VT).
- Candidates certified as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor would be preferred.
- Candidates having IWE/ IWT qualification would be preferred.
- Candidates having membership of skilled bodies such as Indian Institute of Welding (IIW), American Welding Society (AWS), CSWIP etc. is preferable.

Experience

7 to 10 years of post qualification experience of which 8 years of experience in inspection services.

Job Responsibility

Inspection/Quality Surveillance of shop fabrication/ Testing for refinery sector or in the petrochemical/ chemicals industry or Power Sector. Inspection of pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, other equipment, Storage tanks, line pipes, cross country pipelines, Plant Piping, structures, materials, NDT.

Attributes

- The candidate should have sound knowledge of National/ International Standards and codes such as IS, ASTM, ASME SECTIONS II, VIII Div.1, IX, V; API etc. EN/ BS/ DIN/ AD 2000
- The candidate should be familiar with manufacturing processes related to fabrication, welding control, heat treatment, inspection, testing,



preservation, packing and operation and maintenance of boilers
- The candidate should be conversant with materials and materials testing (ASME / EN / AD).
- The candidate should have experience in inspection of pressure vessels, equipment, heat exchangers and boilers.
- The candidate should have experience in reviewing / preparation of welding procedure / welder qualifications- WPS/ PQR/ WPQ
The candidate should have knowledge of (ASME Sec IX / EN 15609/ EN 15614 / ISO 9606-1)
- The candidate should have experience in inspection of plates, piping components / fittings, flanges, pipes, tubes, welded pipes, fasteners, gaskets;
The candidate should have experience in inspection of valves, castings, forgings ASTM / EN
- The candidate should have experience in inspection of structural fabrication Erection (AWS D1.1) / EN 1090
- The candidate should have experience in inspection of piping fabrication, NDT (B 31.3)
- The candidate should be result-oriented.
- The candidate should have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should have excellent inspection skills.
