Core Responsibilities

1. Tender Analysis Bid Strategy

- Review tender documents (RFPs, RFQs, ITBs) from clients
- Understand technical specifications, scope, and contractual terms
- Identify risks, ambiguities, and key requirements
- Support bid/no-bid decisions

2. Cost Estimation Pricing

- Prepare detailed cost estimates (engineering, materials, labor, logistics)
- Coordinate with procurement for vendor quotations
- Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
- Build competitive pricing while maintaining margins

3. Technical Proposal Preparation

- Prepare technical write-ups, methodology, and execution plans
- Ensure compliance with client specifications
- Highlight value engineering and optimization ideas
- Coordinate with design/engineering teams for inputs

4. Commercial Proposal Documentation

- Assist in commercial terms: payment milestones, taxes, duties, escalation
- Prepare complete bid submission packages (technical + commercial)
- Ensure all documentation complies with tender requirements

5. Vendor Subcontractor Coordination

- Float inquiries and evaluate vendor quotations
- Negotiate pricing and delivery timelines (with procurement team)
- Shortlist vendors/subcontractors for inclusion in bids

6. Risk Assessment

- Identify technical, financial, and schedule risks
- Propose mitigation strategies
- Factor risks into pricing and execution plans

7. Interdepartmental Coordination





- Work closely with:
- Engineering/design teams
- Procurement supply chain
- Project management
- Finance legal departments

8. Client Interaction Clarifications

- Participate in pre-bid meetings
- Submit technical and commercial clarifications
- Address client queries during evaluation phase

- Robust understanding of EPC project lifecycle
- Cost estimation and financial acumen
- Technical expertise in relevant domain (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.)
- Contractual knowledge (FIDIC or similar frameworks often used)
