Job Description Project Manager cum Business Analyst (PM/BA)

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile, highly organized, and analytical Project Manager cum Business Analyst (PM/BA) with Digital First mindset. In this hybrid role, you will wear two hats as a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders to uncover, analyze, and document business requirements; as a Project Manager, you will take ownership of the project lifecycle, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of software development/project lifecycles, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis (BA) Duties

Requirement Understandi ng Conduct workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders to gather clear and comprehensive business requirements.

Documentation Create detailed BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents), user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.

Gap & Workflow Analysis Analyze current state systems ("as-is") against desired future states ("to-be") and design optimized workflows.

UAT Support Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), define test scenarios, and assist stakeholders in validating deliverables against requirements.

2. Project Management (PM) Duties

Project Planning & Scope Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements. Develop comprehensive project plans and timelines. Handling multiple complex projects of varied nature such as New Product launch, Regulatory changes, Pricing changes, User Experience and Innovation projects

Agile/Scrum Facilitation Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.





Stakeholder Management Collaborating with all the required stakeholders for ensuring the seamless functioning of Business Tech vertical.

Risk & Issue Management Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and scope creep.

Resource & Timeline Management Track team velocity, monitor project burn-rate/budget, and ensure milestones are hit on schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience 2-5 years of skilled experience in IT or a related industry, with at least 2 3 years spent acting in a hybrid PM/BA capacity or successfully transitioning between both roles.

Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Technical & Core Skills

Methodologies Deep practical knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Understanding of APIs, webservice, Digital ecosystem

Tools High proficiency with project management and analytical tools Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence.

Soft Skills

Communication Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical business users and vice versa.

Problem-Solving Strong critical-thinking skills with a knack for decomposing complex, ambiguous problems into structured steps.

Negotiation & Influence Proven ability to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities and negotiate project scope effectively.

Preferred Certifications

PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM, PRINCE2, CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or PMI-ACP, CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA.
