About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the finance function for BOSSE (Board of Open Schooling & Skill Education). The role requires a hands-on finance professional who can manage financial operations, statutory compliance, budgeting, reporting, audits, and process improvements while ensuring strong financial governance and supporting the organization's growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

- Manage the end-to-end finance and accounts function for BOSSE.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, accounting, and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain robust financial controls and governance practices.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor budget utilization and conduct variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Accounting & Reporting

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Develop and present MIS reports and financial dashboards for management review.

Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
- Manage GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and tax audits.

Treasury & Cash Flow

- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Manage banking operations, reconciliations, and fund utilization.
- Ensure effective financial planning to support business operations.

Process Improvement

- Strengthen finance processes,



internal controls, and SOPs.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Support ERP implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with academic, operations, admissions, HR, procurement, and senior leadership teams.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide financial support for new initiatives and organizational projects.

Team Management

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to financial policies.
- Build a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.
- Sound understanding of statutory compliance and audit management.
- Experience in cash flow management and financial controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

- 810 years of post-qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant.
- Experience in the education sector, open schooling, universities, educational boards, NGOs, or service organizations will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in ERP-based finance operations and finance process improvements.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-functional environment.
