Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Network Security L3 Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will act as the highest level of technical escalation for complex network issues, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and security environments. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, leadership during critical incidents, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain a reliable and secure network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration & Engineering

- Configure, implement, and manage enterprise-level LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and Data Center networking solutions.
- Design, deploy, and maintain routing and switching infrastructure using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VRRP/HSRP, VLANs, and MPLS.
- Configure and manage enterprise wireless infrastructure, controllers, and access points.
- Implement network segmentation, QoS, redundancy, and high-availability solutions.

Network Security

- Configure and manage Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, IPS/IDS, NAC solutions, and security policies.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, optimization, and security hardening activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry best practices.
- Support network security audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.

Incident & Problem Management





- Act as the L3 technical escalation point for complex network incidents and service requests.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during critical incidents (P1/P2) and major outages.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams for issue resolution.

Network Monitoring & Performance

- Monitor network health using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Analyze performance trends and proactively optimize bandwidth utilization, latency, redundancy, and failover mechanisms.
- Ensure network availability by implementing proactive monitoring and capacity planning.

Change & Configuration Management

- Review, approve, and implement network Change Requests (CRs) in accordance with ITIL processes.
- Ensure adherence to maintenance windows, rollback procedures, and risk mitigation plans.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, IP address management, and configuration backups.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Knowledge Base articles, and troubleshooting guides.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L1 and L2 network engineers.
- Develop remediation procedures and operational runbooks for support teams.




- Participate in infrastructure planning, architecture reviews, and technology upgrades.
- Collaborate with server, cloud, security, application, and infrastructure teams during project implementation.
- Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise network administration and support.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an L3 Network Engineer role.
- Experience managing large enterprise or multi-site network environments.
