Business Analyst

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Business Analyst will work with government stakeholders and technical teams to define business needs, document requirements, translate them into implementable AI/ML use cases, and support validation, UAT, traceability, and process improvement.

Educational Qualifications

- B.Tech., MBA, or M.Tech. with specialisation in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.
- CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent business-analysis certification is preferred.

Experience

- 58 years in business analysis, requirements elicitation, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- At least 23 years supporting AI/ML, analytics, automation, or digital-transformation initiatives.
- Experience engaging government departments or public-sector stakeholders is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyse, validate, and document functional and business requirements from government departments and stakeholders.
- Translate needs into business requirement documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and workflow diagrams.
- Support the Solution Architect and delivery teams in mapping user needs to technical deliverables, integrations, data requirements, and solution constraints.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, requirement reviews, prioritisation sessions, demonstrations, and UAT activities.
- Validate solution outputs for usability, accessibility,



functional fit, and adherence to applicable MeitY standards.
- Maintain requirement traceability matrices, decision logs, assumptions, dependencies, risks, change requests, and approval records.
- Analyse citizen-service data and processes to identify inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and feasible AI use cases.
- Coordinate with product, design, data science, engineering, QA, and government stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support test-case creation, defect triage, user training, rollout preparation, and post-implementation feedback.

Technical Competencies

- Requirements Management: elicitation, stakeholder interviews, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritisation, and traceability.
- Process Analysis: BPMN, workflow design, gap analysis, root-cause analysis, and process optimisation.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or equivalent tools.
- Testing and Validation: UAT planning, test cases, defect management, demonstrations, and solution validation.
- AI/ML Understanding: working knowledge of AI capabilities, model limitations, data needs, evaluation concepts, and implementation risks.
- Data Analysis: SQL fundamentals, advanced Excel or Google Sheets, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Agile Delivery: Scrum, Kanban, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
