Technical Knowledge Required

The candidate should have knowledge of procurement of the following items: Mechanical and Electrical Items Example:

- MS, GI, SS & Copper Pipes
- Pipe Fittings and Valves
- Pumps, Motors & Compressors
- Fasteners, Tools & Industrial Consumables

Electrical Items

- Electrical Cables and Wires
- Switchgear (MCB, MCCB, ACB, Isolators)
- Distribution Boards (DBs) and Electrical Panels
- Cable Trays, Conduits & Accessories
- Switches, Sockets, Relays & Electrical Accessories
- Earthing Materials

Key Responsibilities

- Procure Mechanical and Electrical materials as per project requirements and approved specifications.
- Float enquiries (RFQs), obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend the best suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions with vendors.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order processing.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.




- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Store, and Accounts departments for procurement planning.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor database and identify new suppliers.
- Verify technical specifications, quantity, quality, and compliance before placing orders.
- Maintain complete procurement records, purchase files, vendor documents, and reports.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through effective sourcing and negotiation.

Preferred candidate profile

- Solid negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP software or similar).
- Ability to understand BOQs, technical specification.
