The Sea Import / Export Executive/Senior Executive will be responsible for handling end-to-end ocean freight import and export operations, ensuring timely shipment execution, documentation, customer coordination, and compliance with shipping and customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end Sea Import and Export shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, CHA, transporters, and customers.
- Arrange vessel bookings and monitor shipment status until final delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as HBL, MBL, Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, Delivery Order, SI, and VGM.
- Coordinate with customs brokers for smooth clearance of import and export shipments.
- Track shipments and provide regular status updates to customers.
- Resolve shipment-related issues and ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with the billing team for timely invoicing and cost verification.
- Maintain shipment records, operational reports, and MIS.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, shipping regulations, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or International Trade will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Executive: 2–4 years of experience in Sea Import/Export Operations.
- Senior Executive: 4–7 years of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Sea Import & Export operations.
- Valuable understanding of shipping documentation and Incoterms.
- Knowledge of customs clearance processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and freight forwarding software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
