Job Title: Billing Executive Freight Forwarding

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Executive with experience in Freight Forwarding to manage customer invoicing, vendor billing verification, and shipment-related billing activities. The candidate will ensure accurate and timely billing while coordinating with operations, pricing, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate customer invoices for Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs Clearance, Transportation, and Warehousing services.
- Ensure invoices are prepared accurately based on shipment documents, customer rate agreements, quotations, and SOPs.
- Verify shipment files before billing to ensure all applicable charges are captured.
- Process credit notes and debit notes whenever required.
- Ensure timely submission of invoices to customers within agreed timelines.
- Review and verify vendor invoices from shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, and other service providers.
- Cross-check buying costs against approved rates and contracts.
- Identify billing discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of all cost and revenue transactions.
- Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Pricing,



and Sales teams for billing-related information.
- Ensure all supporting documents are available before invoice generation.
- Maintain shipment-wise billing records and documentation.
- Respond to customer queries related to invoices and billing adjustments.

Required Skills

- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
- 13 years of experience in freight forwarding operations and logistics charges.
- Knowledge of Air Freight, Sea Freight, Import/Export processes, Customs Clearance, Transportation, and Warehousing billing.
- Familiarity with shipping documents such as HBL, MBL, AWB, Delivery Orders, and Customs documents.
- Positive knowledge of GST and invoicing regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/TMS systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
