Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and analytical Accounts Manager to lead our finance and accounting operations. In this role, you will oversee daily financial activities, ensure strict statutory compliance, optimize cash flows, and deliver strategic financial reports to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Ledger Management

- Oversee end-to-end accounting processes including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain absolute accuracy in daily transactions, invoicing, and expenses utilizing advanced features of Tally Prime or ERP systems.
- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts, balancing balance sheets and P&L; statements.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Take full ownership of all direct and indirect tax compliances: GST (filing GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C, and reconciliation with GSTR-2B), TDS/TCS, and corporate Income Tax.
- Ensure accurate processing and timely filing of statutory deductions like PF (Provident Fund), ESIC, and Professional Tax.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and financial consultants during annual audits and assessments.

3. Budgeting, Cash Flow & Reporting

- Monitor day-to-day cash flows, fund allocations, and optimize working capital.




- Assist the management team in annual budgeting, revenue projections, and variance analysis.
- Generate and present detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports monthly regarding operational expenses, burn rates, and profitability metrics.

4. Payroll & Operations

- Partner with the HR department to cross-verify monthly attendance, structure variable payouts, and process seamless, timely employee payroll.
- Manage vendor contracts, review payment terms, and handle financial relationships with content creators, software vendors, and marketing agencies.

Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance. Semi-qualified CA/ICWA or Inter-CA candidates are highly preferred.
- Strict 810 years of core accounting and finance experience, with at least 3+ years in a team-lead or managerial capacity.
- Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas), and online banking portals.
- Prior experience working with an EdTech company, IT service provider, or digital startup is a major advantage.
- Excellent leadership capability, exact attention to detail, and clear verbal/written communication to handle both internal teams and external tax authorities.
