We are seeking an experienced, leadership-ready Senior Accountant to oversee our daily accounting operations, manage our finance team, and ensure strict statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Indian taxation (GST & TDS), robust reconciliation skills, and the proven ability to lead junior accounting staff while utilizing both desktop and cloud-based financial tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management

Team Supervision: Direct, mentor, and manage the junior accounting team (such as junior accountants and data entry clerks).

Work Allocation: Assign day-to-day accounting tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure timelines for data entry and reconciliations are met.

Process Improvement: Establish and enforce internal accounting workflows and review mechanisms to eliminate discrepancies.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

GST Management: Review and prepare accurate GST computations for GSTR-1 filing. Evaluate and finalize Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility for GSTR-3B filing.

TDS Management: Supervise and prepare TDS computations ensuring compliance with relevant TDS sections.

Statutory Payments: Overlook and ensure timely processing of statutory dues including TDS, GST, ESI, PF, and Professional Tax.

Operational Compliance: Guide the team on generating E-way bills and E-invoicing, ensuring correct HSN coding and alignment with current GST slab rates.

3. Core Accounting & Bookkeeping (Tally Prime)

Review & Quality Control: Oversee day-to-day accounting entries maintained by the team in Tally Prime (covering Sales, Purchases, Expenses, Bank, Cash, Assets, and Liabilities) to ensure accuracy.

Cash & Payments: Authorize vendor payments, process Foreign Wire Transfers, and manage petty cash protocols.

Payroll:



Supervise and execute the monthly processing and preparation of employee salaries.

4. Reconciliations & Ledger Management

Oversee and verify rigorous, routine reconciliations: Ledger Reconciliation, Sales Reconciliation, and GST Reconciliation (matching books with portal data).

Proactively manage and track Customer & Vendor outstanding balances, ensuring healthy cash flow and aging control.

5. Audits & Year-End Closing

Books Finalization: Lead the closing of books and finalization of accounts for seamless Tax Audits and GST Audits.

Stock Audits: Take ownership of and systematically manage periodic stock audits, coordinating both team and warehouse staff.

Auditor Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact to cooperate with and provide necessary documentation to external/statutory auditors.

6. Reporting & Cloud Collaboration (Excel & Google Sheets)

Utilize Advanced Excel & Google Sheets formulas (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, QUERY, IMPORTRANGE, etc.) to clean, analyze, and manage complex financial data.

Prepare, maintain, and share live tracking sheets and structured financial reports for real-time management review.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of core corporate accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.

Software Proficiency: Exceptional, hands-on expertise in Tally Prime, Advanced Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets (including cloud sharing and collaborative workflows).

Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in accounting basics, current GST Laws, and TDS Sections.

Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven team management capabilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; robust analytical mindset with an eye for spotting discrepancies.
