- Source and develop fabrics based on design and production requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabric samples, approvals, and deliveries.
- Conduct fabric quality checks including GSM, shrinkage, and color fastness.
- Maintain fabric swatches, specifications, and development records.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams on material selection.
- Research new fabrics, textile trends, and sustainable materials.
- Prepare technical reports and track fabric development progress.
- Ensure materials meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Skills :
- Strong knowledge of textile fibers, woven and knitted fabrics.
- Understanding of fabric testing and quality control methods.
- Valuable vendor coordination and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable textiles is an added advantage.
