Key Responsibilities

- Handle and manage all litigation matters, including civil, criminal, commercial, consumer, arbitration, and recovery cases.
- Lead legal recovery initiatives for delinquent accounts, including negotiations, settlements, and legal proceedings.
Represent the organization in Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act matters and coordinate with external counsel for court appearances.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and vet agreements, contracts, MoUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, employment contracts, loan documents, and other legal documentation.
- Provide legal advice on corporate transactions, strategic partnerships, investments, and new business initiatives.
- Handle legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic alliances.
- Lead mediation and negotiate amicable out-of-court settlements to minimize litigation costs and business disruption.
- Draft, review, and finalize settlement agreements, legal notices, replies, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Advise management on legal risks, contract enforceability, dispute resolution strategies, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with external advocates, law firms, regulatory authorities, and government departments.




- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Companies Act, RBI, IRDAI, SEBI, and other relevant statutes.
- Manage corporate secretarial and governance-related legal matters in coordination with consultants.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise business teams on their impact.
- Maintain legal records, litigation trackers, contract repositories, and compliance documentation.
- Support internal stakeholders by providing timely legal opinions and practical business-oriented solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.); LL.M. will be an added advantage.
- 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal and litigation roles.
- Experience in NBFCs, Banks, Insurance Companies, Financial Services, FinTech, or a reputed law firm is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of the Companies Act, Contract Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, SARFAESI Act, Arbitration Act, Consumer Laws, Civil and Criminal Procedure, RBI, IRDAI, and SEBI regulations.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, litigation management, dispute resolution, and recovery matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
