Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (58 years experience) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications for a healthcare platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python (FastAPI) for backend development and TypeScript (React, Next.js) for modern frontend applications, along with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role requires a strong focus on building reliable, compliant, and scalable healthcare solutions, ensuring data privacy, performance, and seamless user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key role in system architecture, development best practices, and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI).
- Build and optimize responsive frontend applications using React and Next.js with TypeScript.
- Develop and manage database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.
- Implement containerized applications using Docker and manage deployments in cloud environments (GCP).
- Ensure applications meet healthcare compliance standards (e.g., data privacy, security, HIPAA-like considerations).
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and enforcing engineering standards.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.




- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high system uptime.
- Utilize development tools such as VS Code, Docker, and AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) for productivity.

Required Skills

- 5–8 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Python (FastAPI) for backend development
- TypeScript with React and Next.js for frontend development

- Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Git-based version control systems.
- Experience in building secure applications, especially handling sensitive healthcare data.
- Familiarity with development tools such as VS Code and containerized development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a quick-paced agile environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Next.js SSR/SSG optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to Kubernetes or advanced container orchestration.
- Experience with event-driven architectures or message queues.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tool - Claude Code.
- Understanding of testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end).
- Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams globally.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, or HIPAA compliance frameworks.
