Role & responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 technical support for Dell EMC Storage and Backup solutions, including Avamar.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve storage, backup, and recovery-related incidents within defined SLAs.
- Perform backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery operations across enterprise environments.
- Troubleshoot backup failures, storage performance issues, connectivity problems, and data protection incidents.
- Administer and support Avamar backup infrastructure, including policy management, scheduling, capacity monitoring, and reporting.
- Work with Windows Server and Linux environments to ensure successful backup and recovery operations.
- Analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with customers, cross-functional teams, and OEM

Preferred candidate profile

- 2 to 6 years of experience in technical support, storage administration, or backup operations.




- Hands-on experience with Dell EMC Storage platforms and Dell EMC Avamar.
- Good understanding of enterprise backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, RAID, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and data protection solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot backup jobs, storage performance issues, and system-level problems.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools, monitoring tools, and ITIL-based support processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a customer-facing support workplace is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Dell EMC Storage, Avamar, Backup & Recovery, Windows, or Linux will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
