Role Overview:
As an L2 FinTech Technical Operations Engineer, you will be the backbone of our financial technology ecosystem. Acting as the critical bridge between support, core engineering, and vendor teams, you will troubleshoot complex application issues, manage production incidents, and ensure uninterrupted operations for our high-stakes financial applications

1. Incident Management & Troubleshooting

- Triage, diagnose, and resolve escalated incidents from Clients within strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Execute in-depth log analysis (using Splunk, ELK, or Datadog)



to identify root causes of application errors, API failures, or transaction drops.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement temporary workarounds or permanent technical fixes.
- Manage high-severity (Sev1/Sev2) incidents affecting production environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

2. System Operations & Maintenance

- Monitor application health, system capacity, and availability, proactively preventing performance bottlenecks.
- Manage deployment coordination, patches, and hotfixes in production and staging environments.
- Handle end-of-day (EOD) batch processing, reconciliation activities, and ledger balancing specific to FinTech workflows.

3. Database & API Management

- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, troubleshooting transaction discrepancies, and backend debugging.
- Troubleshoot RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman and cURL

4. Compliance, Audit, & Documentation

- Maintain and update technical playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and architecture documentation

5. Predictive Incident Management
AI-powered observability platforms predict system bottlenecks such as CPU spikes, memory leaks, or payment delays before they cause outages or transaction failures.

6. Intelligent Ticketing & Support
AI chatbots and copilots triage, summarize, and auto-resolve tier-1 user and system-generated incidents, allowing engineers to focus on critical infrastructure tasks.

7. Observability & APM




AI-driven platforms like Dynatrace and Datadog or any other similer toos provide automated anomaly detection and predictive scaling for cloud operations.

8. AI-Assisted ITSM
Tools like Zendesk or other tools AI integrate with ticketing systems to route incidents, flag high-risk customer interactions, and speed up L2 support escalations"

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related financial/technical field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in FinTech, banking, or large-scale transactional application support.
- SQL & Database: Strong RDBMS skills; proficiency in writing complex queries across databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server.
- Monitoring & Observability: Hands-on experience with log analysis tools (Splunk, ELK, Datadog, or Dynatrace).
- Scripting/OS: Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and proficiency in basic scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.
- Networking/Cloud: Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and core networking concepts (HTTP, DNS, TLS).
- Tools: Proficiency with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools (Jira, ServiceNow, PagerDuty).
