The Professor in Community Health Nursing will provide academic leadership in the department, ensuring high-quality teaching, clinical supervision, research guidance, curriculum planning, and community engagement in accordance with Indian Nursing Council (INC) norms and university regulations. The role includes administration, student mentorship, and active participation in career development and institutional activities.
Qualification & Experience (as per INC Norms)
- M.Sc. Nursing (Specialty: Community Health Nursing) from an INC-recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse (and Registered Midwife if applicable) with a State Nursing Council/INC.
- Minimum 12 years post-M.Sc. experience, including 10 years of teaching experience in a recognized College of Nursing.
- Ph.D. in Nursing (with specialization in Community Health Nursing or related field).
- Teach undergraduate (B.Sc. Nursing) and postgraduate (M.Sc. Nursing) Community Health Nursing coursesincluding theory,
clinical/practical, and field experiences.
- Plan, develop, organize, and deliver instructional materials, lesson plans, and teaching strategies aligned with INC syllabi.
- Facilitate student learning through lectures, seminars, discussions, case studies, community visits, demonstrations, and supervised clinical practice.
- Evaluate and assess student performance through tests, assignments, clinical evaluations, and examinations.
- Maintain attendance, academic records, clinical logbooks, and performance documentation
- Initiate, guide, supervise, and evaluate research projects, dissertations, and theses for postgraduate students.
- Engage in continuing education—attend workshops, conferences, refresher courses, and faculty development programs.
