Compensation

Up to 30 Lakhs Per Annum (Depending upon experience and suitability)

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 20+ years of relevant experience

Industry Preference (Mandatory)

Only candidates currently working or having significant experience in the manufacturing of Grain Storage Silos / Grain Processing Plant & Machinery will be considered.

The ideal candidate should have worked with manufacturers of:

- Grain Storage Silos
- Grain Handling Systems
- Grain Processing Plants
- Seed Processing Plants
- Rice Mill Machinery
- Flour Mill Machinery
- Feed Mill Plants
- Bulk Material Handling Systems for Grain
- Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Chain Conveyors & Screw Conveyors used in grain handling
- Complete Turnkey Grain Storage & Processing Plants

Candidates should possess hands-on experience in the quality management of heavy fabricated equipment, structural steel fabrication, machining, welding, assembly and installation of industrial plant & machinery used in the grain processing and storage industry.

Experience in managing customer inspections,



third-party inspections, vendor quality assurance, welding quality, fabrication quality and final acceptance of complete grain processing plants will be a strong advantage.

Purpose of the Role

To lead the Quality function across the manufacturing operations and ensure world-class quality standards in the manufacturing of grain handling systems, storage silos, process equipment and associated plant & machinery. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing robust quality systems, driving process improvements, reducing quality costs and ensuring complete customer satisfaction through adherence to national and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across the manufacturing facility.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve quality systems, procedures and inspection standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management systems.
- Establish quality plans for fabricated structures, machined components, assemblies and complete plant equipment.
- Monitor incoming, in-process and final inspection activities.
- Drive root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce rejection, rework and customer complaints.
- Lead supplier quality development and vendor audits.
- Review welding quality, fabrication quality, machining accuracy, dimensional inspections and assembly quality.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T;, welding procedures and customer requirements.
- Lead customer inspections, third-party inspections and statutory quality audits.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Projects and Service teams for effective quality management.
- Develop quality dashboards, KPIs and MIS for management review.




- Lead internal quality audits and facilitate external certification audits.
- Train and mentor the quality team to enhance technical competency.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma and Problem-Solving methodologies.
- Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and warranty issues.
- Manage documentation including inspection reports, calibration records, quality manuals and quality plans.

Key Skills & Technical Competencies

- Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, machining and assembly quality.
- Knowledge of heavy fabricated structures and industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Expertise in dimensional inspection techniques and precision measurement.
- Hands-on knowledge of welding quality standards and NDT methods.
- Sound understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.;
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
- Vendor Quality Assurance (VQA) and Supplier Development.
- Customer quality management and third-party inspections.
- Root Cause Analysis tools (8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, CAPA).
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
- Exposure to ERP systems and quality documentation.
