About the Role

Were hiring a Data Architect & Engineer to design and build our data platform end to end, architecture, pipelines, governance, and production support. This role combines architectural ownership with hands-on engineering and delivery accountability.

Responsibilities

- Define target-state data architecture and owns the roadmap in alignment with business and technology strategy.
- Own enterprise data modelling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers, ensuring consistency across domains and systems.
- Own master data management strategy: identifying golden sources, defining match/merge and stewardship rules, and driving MDM implementation.
- Partner with enterprise architecture to ensure data architecture decisions align with broader technology and business architecture.
- Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines across batch and streaming workloads, including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
- Own the platform and pipeline control plane: orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and alerting.
- Diagnose and resolve schema drift, data quality failures, malformed data, and versioning issues in production pipelines.
- Implement data quality controls, including validation rules, anomaly detection, and automated quality gates.
- Define and enforce data governance policies: access control, data classification, lineage, and compliance alignment.
- Build record-level auditability, ensuring every data change is traceable and versioned.
- Architect and implement data platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP using native cloud services.
- Build data infrastructure to support ML/AI workloads, including feature stores, vector/embedding pipelines, and real-time feature serving.
- Design data access layers and pipelines for AI/data agents, including agent-facing data contracts, RAG pipelines,



and access governance.
- Own delivery for assigned workstreams: scope, timeline, status reporting, escalation management, and post-go-live support.

Requirements

- 12+ years of combined experience across data architecture and data engineering.
- Demonstrated experience owning enterprise data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and target-state architecture roadmaps.
- Experience defining data architecture standards, reference architectures, and driving their adoption across teams.
- Hands-on experience with master data management: golden source identification, stewardship models, and MDM tooling/implementation.
- Demonstrated experience designing and operating production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines and pipeline control planes at scale.
- Direct experience resolving schema drift, data quality issues, bad data, and versioning challenges in live systems.
- Strong background in data governance, access control, and audit/compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including native data and platform services.
- Experience building data infrastructure for ML/AI workloads and enabling data access for AI/data agents in production environments.
- Proven ownership of delivery timelines and outcomes, including status reporting and issue escalation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Qualified-level cloud certification (AWS Certified Data Engineer / Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer / Architect, or Google Professional Data Engineer / Cloud Architect).
- Experience in a client delivery, consulting, or managed services environment.
- Familiarity with RAG architectures and agentic AI data patterns.
