Job Summary

The Site Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and successfully completing construction projects at the site within the approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, government authorities, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

- Plan, organize, and manage all site construction activities.
- Develop detailed work schedules and monitor project progress.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams.

2. Site Management

- Supervise day-to-day site operations.
- Manage engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labor.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently.
- Resolve technical and operational issues at the site.

3. Quality Control

- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Implement Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes and project standards.

4. Safety Management

- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

- Act as the primary point of contact at the project site.
- Attend progress review meetings with clients and consultants.




- Coordinate with government departments for approvals and inspections.
- Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

6. Budget & Cost Control

- Monitor project expenditures against the approved budget.
- Control material wastage and optimize resource utilization.
- Verify contractor bills and work measurements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

7. Procurement & Material Management

- Coordinate procurement of construction materials and equipment.
- Monitor inventory and stock levels.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
- Verify material quality before usage.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain site records, work logs, and inspection reports.
- Track project schedules and update management regularly.
- Maintain all contractual and statutory documentation.

9. Risk Management

- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Resolve technical and contractual issues promptly.
- Monitor project delays and recommend corrective measures.

10. Team Leadership

- Lead, motivate, and mentor site engineers and supervisors.
- Conduct performance reviews and training.
- Foster teamwork and effective communication.




- Ensure discipline and productivity at the project site.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Master's Degree (preferred but not mandatory).
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.

Experience

- 815 years of experience in civil construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing project sites independently.
- Experience in roads, buildings, irrigation, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
