Role Summary
The Tool Room Maintenance Engineer Tool & Die is responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of press tools, dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and tool room equipment. The role ensures maximum tool availability, optimum performance, and minimum downtime to support production requirements and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of press tools, progressive dies, compound dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and repair tooling used in sheet metal and component manufacturing.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to address tooling-related issues.
- Conduct tool inspection, refurbishment, and life-cycle monitoring.
- Support new tool trials, tool modifications, and engineering changes.
- Maintain CNC, milling, grinding, EDM, and other tool room machinery.
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and tooling history.
- Manage tooling spare parts and consumables inventory.
- Participate in TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and company quality standards.

- Tool & Die maintenance and troubleshooting
- Progressive, compound, blanking, piercing, and forming die maintenance
- Press tool repair, assembly, and try-out
- Preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
- Sheet metal stamping process knowledge
- Expert skill in MS-excel & MS-PowerPoint.
- CAD knowledge.
- Valuable Planning skill.
- Valuable Communication skill.
- Should be able to handle tough situations.
- Should follow safety and 5S.
