Role Summary

The PRT English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality English lessons for primary classes, creating a positive classroom environment, and supporting the overall academic and personality development of students. The teacher should use interactive, child-centric, and activity-based pedagogy aligned with school curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach English to primary grade students using engaging and effective classroom practices.

- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, assessments, and classroom activities aligned with curriculum objectives.

- Develop students foundational language skills in phonics, reading fluency, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, creative writing, speaking, and listening.

- Conduct formative and summative assessments, maintain records of student performance, and prepare progress reports.

- Create an inclusive, safe, disciplined, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and confidence-building.





- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support or enrichment activities where needed.

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental needs.

- Participate in PTMs, school events, assemblies, trainings, academic planning sessions, and other institutional responsibilities.

- Collaborate with coordinators and fellow teachers to ensure high academic standards and consistent student outcomes.

- Integrate digital tools and contemporary teaching practices into classroom instruction where appropriate.

## Candidate Profile

- Bachelors degree in English or relevant discipline is required.

- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. is preferred/required as per school norms.

- 2 to 6 years of teaching experience in a reputed school, preferably in primary grades.

- Excellent command of spoken and written English with clear pronunciation and strong communication skills.

- Strong understanding of primary pedagogy, child development, and classroom management.

- Tech-savvy and comfortable using smart classroom tools, worksheets, presentations, and school ERP systems where applicable.

- Pleasant personality, professional attitude, and ability to work in a collaborative school environment.
