- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Jigs and fixtures, Machine Design and material handling systems.
- Create accurate 3D models, 2D drafting, engineering drawings using Solid Works, Inventor and AutoCAD and BOM preparation.
- Apply GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and conduct tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety standards.
- Translate customer requirements analysis into functional automation solutions.
- Integrate mechanical systems with pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, actuators, sensors, servo motors, and motion control systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, controls, production, and vendor development teams.
- Apply knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal design, and fabrication processes.
- Evaluate standard parts and bought-out components for performance and cost optimization.
