Key Responsibilities

1. In-Process Quality & Metrology Control

- Establish, monitor, and audit Statistical Process Control (SPC) parameters across high-precision grinding and assembly channels to maintain micron-level design tolerances.
- Oversee calibration and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) for specialized bearing inspection gauges (roundness testers, surface roughness tracers, form testers, and LVDT air-gauging loops).
- Lead root-cause investigations for internal rejections and scrap generation, running structured Six Sigma/DMAIC projects to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).

2. Customer Quality & Problem Solving (8D)

- Act as the primary technical point of contact for Tier-1 automotive and industrial OEM clients regarding quality escalations and claims.
- Lead cross-functional teams to conduct thorough failure analysis on field returns or line-rejections using ISO 15243 standards (identifying spalling, pitting, brinelling, etc.).
- Author, validate, and present rock-solid 8D Reports, CAPA logs, and updated Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) directly to customer portals.

3. QMS, Documentation & Audits

- Plan, execute, and close out Internal System Audits, Manufacturing Process Audits (VDA 6.3),



and Product Audits (VDA 6.5).
- Drive the compilation and flawless submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages and APQP documentation for current bearing programs or design modifications.
- Serve as a key host and technical anchor during external registrar and customer-specific plant audits.

4. Team Management (For Assistant Manager Level)

- Supervise, evaluate, and allocate daily tasks to a team of quality engineers, final inspectors, and lab technicians.
- Conduct regular training sessions for floor operators on defect identification, gauge handling, and basic problem-solving tools (7 QC tools).

Experience: .

- 6 to 15 years of core quality engineering experience strictly within a precision bearing manufacturing environment (or high-precision automotive machining/grinding setup).
- Core Quality Toolkit: Expert command over Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Audit Expertise: Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949:2016 and ideally qualified under VDA 6.3 guidelines.
- Analytical Software: Highly proficient in Minitab, and reliability modeling) and SAP (QM Module).
